The key aims of the Wiltshire Mammal Group are:
- To support mammal conservation in Wiltshire & Swindon
- To promote the recording and study of Wiltshire’s Mammals
- To increase the number of mammal records and the amount of recording in the County – particularly in terms of repeatable, systematic surveys
- To increase the number of recorders through training and support
The group’s main focus is on all mammal species found in Wiltshire, other than bats and badgers – although we do not ignore these species when we come across them!
The group relies on volunteers throughout the county to help organise events, carry out monitoring and survey work and send in their mammal records. Find out how to join in with WMG activities by visiting the Get Involved and Projects pages above.
